At Brawley middle school there used to be an elevator. One day an old lady (who was the school librarian) had a heart and died in there. No one knew where the body went and many people think that it is hidden in the pillars in the library. Later the elevator was taken out and the shaft was turned into a bell tower. The old lady is said to have been seen on the second floor, the floor at which she died on, walking around. At night after the people leave, they turn the lights off. Many times the teachers will come back the next day to find that nobody is there but that the lights are on. The old lady has also been seen in the library. Some people have knocked on the pillars that her body might be in and heard something knock back at them.
Crybaby Lane
There was once an orphanage at the middle of the last century. It had boys and girls of different ages there. One night a fire started and before the children realized that the house was on fire, they were already trapped. A few months after the fire the people who lived around where the orphanage was started smelling smoke. At first they just smelled it but then it started making them choke, just like real smoke. A few years after that they started to hear screaming and crying coming from where the orphanage was. At first you had to be close to the house to hear it but then it started to get louder. This ended up getting so bad for the people that live there that they moved somewhere else.
